Hi, welcome to Eco Energy Experts, my name’s Darren Gill and if you are ready this you have likely been contacted by one of our team or seen one of our adverts and are wondering what it’s all about?!
Okay so the long story is I’ve got 10+ years experience of the energy industry, and I’ve been helping people get out of fuel poverty for 10+ years. I’m a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor, an EPC Assessor and a fully qualified gas engineer. This means I and my team are fully qualified to assess whether you are eligible for the free schemes that are run by the government that could actually entitle you to a free new boiler, free insulation of some type, or both!
I started out as a gas engineer and after proving myself technically I started to get interested in the human side of the business. I realised there’s a big problem in the UK in terms of people either being on the brink of fuel poverty or actually in it and not even realising that they are.

I realise that a customer letting us into their home around their family is a big thing and trust is a real core aspect of our business, I’m a family man myself so I thought it’s only fair for you to meet my family!
Okay so what is Fuel Poverty?
Wikipedia states it as:
A household is said to be in fuel poverty when its members cannot afford to keep adequately warm at a reasonable cost, given their income.
So Fuel Poverty doesn’t mean that you are actually having to visit food banks to be eligible, it’s simply that you are paying an un-“reasonable cost” to heat your home, so for example that could be because of an inefficient boiler, or that you don’t have insulation or that the insulation you have is inefficient. It’s as simple as that.
The simple fact is, many of us overpay for our heating and have done for many years, there are schemes that allow you to claim some of this back in the way of Free Boilers, Free Insulation such as Loft Insulation or Cavity wall Insulation and not enough people are aware of the schemes, we’ve made it our mission to make sure as many people as possible can get what’s rightfully theirs before the window of opportunity goes.
